The service

Manciple keeps a household’s pantry, recipes and shopping lists, and estimates where items are cheapest. Prices shown are estimates from prices your household recorded or that retailers published online on the date shown. Shelf prices, offers and availability change; always check in store.

Your account and household

• Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
• Everyone in a household can see and change its pantry, recipes, lists and prices. The owner can remove members; anyone can leave.
• Recipes you import or write are yours. Only import recipes for your own household’s use.

Sharing recipes and reviews

• Choose a username that isn’t offensive and doesn’t pretend to be someone else, Manciple or Squelch Ltd. We may change one that does.
• Only share recipes that are yours and in your own words, not copied from a book, magazine or website.
• A meal plan you share is shown under your username, and the recipes in it are shared with it. Someone using it gets copies of those recipes in their own book.
• When you share a recipe or post a review, you let Squelch Ltd show it to other Manciple users, and let them save a copy to their own recipe book, for as long as it’s shared. Copies already saved stay with those users.
• Be kind and honest in reviews. We may remove anything reported to us that breaks these terms.

Paid plans

• The Household plan is billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe, after any free trial. One free trial per person.
• Cancel any time from your account; the plan runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for. Under UK consumer law you may cancel within 14 days of first paying for a refund, less any use since.
• If a payment fails, we keep the plan going for 14 days while the card is retried. After that the household returns to the Free plan; nothing is deleted.

Fair use

Don’t misuse the service: no attempts to break it, to reach other households’ data, or to scrape it.

Liability

We take care to keep Manciple running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or that price estimates are accurate. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Changes and ending

We’ll tell you about material changes to these terms and ask you to agree again. You can delete your account at any time from your account page.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
